Chloe our little Princess

Chloe recently went with daddy to get her
hair cut. ( trimmed ) She was so excited. The
stylist, our friend Shelia pinned it up and curled it
for her as well. It looked so adorable. We thought
we would have a modeling session. Samuel decided
get in on the action as well. Only after I convinced
Chloe that I could curl her hair just as well - she let me
brush and wash her hair. She really loved the way it looked.
Chloe loves dressing up, carrying her purses everywhere and going
shoe shopping. It totally cracks me up because I am so not like
that : ) I think I am going to have to get a little prissy to keep
up with her.

Family trip to NYC and Palmyra

Best part of the trip - Hill Cumorah Pageant
Chloe waiting for the pageant to start

We arrived 3 hrs early and were able to get great seats

Ian holding Samuel and cousin Logan at Joseph Smith's farm.

This was our view going into NYC - Awesome!

Beautiful Abby standing at the Lawn in Central Park.

Abby and Ian very bored while waiting to get on
the Subway again.

Family standing on bridge in Central park.
The kids loved playing there and watching the
street performers. We had great weather.

Whoops. Another picture of Palmyra pageant. Abby
and Ian standing with Uncle Ryan, Emma, Logan, Nick
and cast member of pageant.
Samuel and mom on Subway in NYC.
My brother-in-law is doing an internship in NJ this summer. They invited us to come up and stay with them for a couple of days. They live about a hour outside of NYC. We were very
excited to show the kids the sites of NY. Seeing the Statue of Liberty from the ferry was incredible. We had fun seeing Time Square, Central park, riding the subway, taking in all the sites and eating NY sandwiches. We did a lot of walking but it was worth it. When we asked
Abby and Ian if they liked the city they said yes but they liked Las Vegas better. The next day
was the best of our trip. We drove 5 hours from Amelia and Ryans and went to Palmyra to see
the Hill Cumorah pageant. It was so worth it!!! The kids loved it. Samuel made it 1/2 through
before he fell asleep. We were also able to tour Joseph Smith's home and visit the Sacred grove.
We feel very blessed that we were able to make the trip! It was an awesome experience for us and the kids !!! Thanks Amelia and Ryan!!

ALI & MIKI'S PROM 2009

Ali & Miki's BOYSBFF

Ali and Miki had a great time at their prom. This was Ali's junior prom. Miki ( a sophmore) was able to go because Ali's boyfriend bought Miki's ticket and Ali bought Miki's boyfriends ticket. ( who is a sophmore also) Pretty cool and clever. They looked stunning in their dresses. However their dad was very saddened by how grown up they looked. They are not little baby girls anymore. Side note: Notice how much taller Miki is than Ali.

OUR LITTLE SOCCER STAR

Chloe our 5 yr old just finished her first year of soccer. Her four older siblings played so we thought she should give it a shot. The best part was that her dad was her coach. I think he had more fun then she did. Well lets just say Chloe had fun twirling, dancing and hopping out there on the soccer field. Her daddy informs me that she has good running form and speed. So to all our extended Sprague family - please don't worry we know Chloe has the genes that will take us to a State Championship one day - we just don't feel it's going to be playing soccer. Just wondering - do yall consider dancing a sport? : )

Moms say the darnest things.....

I recently went with my sister Amelia to the zoo with our youngest kids. We had a grand time seeing a few animals, playing at the park, playing at the park, playing at the park - a lot of money to play at a park but the memories made were worth it. Speaking of memories this one I will never forget.
When we reached the gorilla habitat I stayed in the back and let the kids run for a closer look. My 3 yr. old Sam quickly ran back to me and said " Mom they have balls!" Trying to be an educating mom I seized the moment and said "Yes they do and they even have a p... like you." - At this moment I am thinking to myself - kudos to you April - way to seize the moment and teach a little biology - male anatomy 101 and way to go for being politically correct (back in my day I was taught it was called a tallywacker) Sam looks up at me in shock and very loudly so everyone can hear says "They have a p....? and because I couldn't just stop I said, "Yes they do, so they can pee like you do." And there my little 3 yr. old boy stood totally in shock but educated -Right? Well we went on our merry way only for me to learn later that Sam had actually seen bouncy balls in the exhibit that the gorillas play with. I would like to excuse this whole episode as a blonde moment - however my hair is dark now and turning gray at this moment. Well what do you say ...hhmmm maybe nothing next time.
